Hi... I've been reading the posts in the forum and feeling a little confused but I think I may know the answer to my question already but I'm hoping someone will confirm it for me.

I had Access Manager2 installed and filled with much information on my Windows 10 computer until it crashed.  I fouind a file in the User Appdata files called Access Manager that contained an xdb file which I'm assuming contains my information.   I have not created any additional backup files.

I have re-installed the free version of Access Manager on my newly installed Windows machine but am I correct in assuming that I cannot restore that earlier data in the newly installed version of Access Manager ?

I had been grateful to have that program the last couple of years and am desperate to try to have it back.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you !

Dear emmdee.

The xdb file you have found from the AppData folder is the correct file and will contain your passwords.

You will need to place the file in the same location on your fresh version of Windows. The location is C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Citi-Software\Access Manager 2

Once you have copied the file there then start Access Manager and log in with the password you used before.

best wishes.

Thank you SO much !  Mission accomplished !

I am very grateful.  Your instructions were clear and simple to follow and I very much appreciater your help.  And you can be sure I will now be sure to save that file to another location in case disaster strikes again without being able to retrieve my old files.

Enjoy your day.
